Welcome to MedWeb. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform for creating professional websites for doctors. By using MedWeb, you agree to these terms in their entirety.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MedWeb, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these terms periodically, and it is your responsibility to check this page regularly.

2. Service Description

MedWeb is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that allows doctors to create professional websites quickly and easily. The service includes: website creation and hosting, custom domain (medweb.site subdomain or your own domain on the Pro plan), professional image generation through artificial intelligence, chat system for content editing, professional email, and visitor statistics.

3. Account Registration

To use MedWeb, you must create an account by providing true and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload to MedWeb, including text, photographs, and professional information. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to the uploaded content and that it does not violate third-party rights or applicable legislation.

5. Intellectual Property

MedWeb, including its design, code, features, and brand, is the exclusive property of our company. You do not acquire any intellectual property rights over the platform simply by using it. Images generated by artificial intelligence are made available for use on your MedWeb website, but the underlying technology remains the property of the respective providers.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

MedWeb offers a free plan and paid plans (Pro). Payments are processed through Stripe, a certified payment service. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method. You can cancel your subscription at any time, maintaining access until the end of the paid period. No refunds are made for partial periods. Prices may be changed with 30 days' notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

MedWeb is provided "as is," without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or absence of errors. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Termination

You can cancel your account at any time through the dashboard settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice in serious cases. In case of termination, your website will be deactivated and data will be deleted after 30 days, unless legal obligations require retention.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect after publication on this page. Substantial changes will be communicated by email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Portugal. Before resorting to the courts, the parties undertake to try to resolve any dispute amicably.
